International Record Promotions & Marketing Service was established in 1989 at the request of several record labels throughout the United States and more than two hundred overseas radio stations. In 1987 while searching for a fair marketplace for our own independent record products and artists we discovered a growing demand for country music formatted products throughout Europe. We started by mailing and promoting records to a total of fourteen radio stations and within a years time our radio station mailing list had expanded to 170 receptive radio stations with some type of country music formatted show throughout every country of Europe. By early 1989 our lists had grown to 280 radio stations. We soon realized that we could not possibly meet the growing product demands of European Radio. With this in mind we established International Record Promotions & Marketing Service to better serve our radio station contacts with fresh new products on a more regular basis and to open these doors for other artists and record labels. At the present time we service 524 radio stations throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South America and other countries of the world with independent music products and we also service 79 overseas record distributors. With the majority of our radio stations being multi-format programming we now mail. promote and market all styles and formats of music to our overseas network of radio stations and distributor contacts. The first step of course is to mail and promote the product, artist etc. to radio. After the product is accepted by radio and is airing throughout our radio network successfully (this usually takes about two weeks) we move on to the next step which is promoting it to our network of distributor contacts , overseas booking agents etc. By this time we have received numerous comment sheets, response sheets, play lists etc. from radio which we copy and send to our distributor contacts along with the product itself. This shows them that the product has been accepted by radio as well as its listening audience and that a consumer demand for the product has been established and invites them to purchase it. U.S. radio stations never run out of incoming mail and record products. They are flooded daily with new products from the majors, independents, custom labels and artists. There would never be enough time to screen all of this incoming material or enough air time to actually air it. Keep in mind also that major market radio stations in the good oleí U.S.A. donít, wonít and canít air independent record products and the very few that will play an indie product are unable to give it enough rotation to do anyone any good. We fought the system here in the U.S. for years. We donít have to do that any more and neither do you. The radio stations that we service overseas are very receptive to independent artists and record labels and are both major market radio stations as well as secondary market stations. Some are in major cities with very large populations (as many as 15 million people) and others in smaller cities with smaller listening audiences. If you are not receiving a substantial amount of air play on major market radio as well as on secondary market radio stations and selling product you are investing your time and dollars in the wrong marketplace. If your products are commercial we feel that we can help you overseas. For more information contact our office at the above listed telephone number, fax, or address. Youíll be happy that you did.
